Introduction

This document describes the target OpenApp architecture and business operations for restaurant POS integrations.

Scope

OpenApp integrates with restaurant POS systems for menu synchronization, table QR ordering, pickup ordering, delivery ordering, bill preparation, payment recording, and order closure.

The POS remains the source of truth for table state, open checks, accepted order lines, waiter operations, kitchen operations, fiscal receipts, and POS-side bill closure.

OpenApp owns customer identity, the customer-facing app experience, table sessions, customer payment execution, notifications, settlement, and reconciliation.

Restaurant ordering inside OpenApp uses the POS integration capability.
